Why change?
It’s hard, we hate it, it drives us insane. It is also inevitable, and frequently necessary. Every person you or I have ever met has faced a change that made them want to lie on the floor for a thousand years, avoided a change that loomed ever more threateningly as time went on, or simply wondered how to make their way in a world that feels like it’s changing very rapidly.
Why would you want my advice?
As far as professional advice bonafides go, I wrote an advice column on how to deal with climate change for five years. I mean, that’s really the ultimate change, when you think about it, and it’s my opinion that no human on Earth can handle it entirely rationally. And the most interesting questions to answer (and to read, I think) had to do with people’s feelings about climate change — how they showed up in their daily lives and interpersonal relationships, and how they dealt with them.
Why am I doing this?
I myself am making a change! Trying something new! And if you like my work and my writing, you’ll probably like this newsletter.
Because this is a new thing and kind of an experiment, it’s free for now. Please subscribe, and you’ll get it in your inbox every other week.
